Bhairi Srinivas Goud, president of Green Peace Environment and Water Harvesting Foundation, has filed a complaint against the Tollywood superstar at Jawahar Nagar police station in Hyderabad. In the complaint, Srinivas Goud has sought legal action against Allu Arjun, as he feels the use of the word “Army” is inappropriate.
The controversy stems from Allu Arjun's statement at public and promotional events: “I don't have fans; I have an army.” During the promotional campaign of Pushpa 2, this phrase caught on when he referred to his fan community as the “Allu Arjun Army”. However, Srinivas Gaur argues that the use of the word “army” is derogatory, as it diminishes the sanctity and respect attached to the armed forces serving the country.
Srinivas Gaur emphasized that the word “Army” carries a deep sense of honor and patriotism and should not be adopted casually for fan groups or personal promotion. The complainant urged the authorities to register a case against the actor for allegedly misusing the word. This legal trouble adds to the list of challenges Pushpa 2 has faced before its release, including multiple delays and other controversies involving its cast.
