Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad residence vandalized by protestors; deets here
On Sunday night, when demonstrators damaged Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad residence, vandalism escalated to new levels. The demonstrators brandished signs, smashed flower pots, threw stones and tomatoes at the Jubilee Hills residence, and demanding that the actor look after the victim’s family from the Pushpa 2 stampede event in images released by Big TV.
Given that Pushpa 2: The Rule did well at the movie office, the TV channel states that the demonstrators claimed to be the OU JAC (Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students) and that Arjun ought to compensate the victim’s family at least ₹1 lakh.
A protester stated as quoted by the channel, “We demand that Allu Arjun take care of the late Revathi’s family. Why did so many film personalities visit him when he came out of jail after being there for 6 months, but none of them cared when a woman died. This is the time for them to stand behind Revathi’s family and be there for Sri Teja. We will not let you go anywhere if these demands aren’t met.”
The actor’s presence at home at the time of the attack is unknown. Arha and Ayaan, his children, were taken to their maternal uncle’s house by his staff.
Protesters allegedly set fire to Arjun’s effigy, according to trade expert Manobala and Ind Today; more details are yet to come.
