Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ becomes Sikandar, Rs 1000 crore inside even before release – Read

425 crores from non-theatrical rights

‘Pushpa 2’ has earned Rs 425 crore from non-theatrical rights. Netflix has bought the OTT rights of its five languages. The film has earned Rs 275 crore from this. The music rights of the film have been sold for Rs 85 crores. The satellite rights of the film are around Rs 65 crores.

Theatrical rights – 660 crores

• Andhra Pradesh-Telangana – 220 crores
• North India – 200 crores
• Tamil Nadu – 50 crores
• Karnataka – 30 crores

• Overseas – 140 crores

Apart from this, the film has earned Rs 660 crore from theatrical rights only. It means that the makers have already taken a minimum amount from the theater owners that their film will earn at least this much. If there is more earning than this, then that money will also go into the pockets of the makers. But there is a catch in this, if the film earns less than this, then the makers will have to return a certain amount.

For ‘Pushpa 2’, the makers have signed a deal of Rs 220 crore with the theater owners of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is possible that these will be the Telugu rights of the movie. The makers have made an advance deal of Rs 200 crore with North India. These will be Hindi rights. Similarly, a deal of ‘Pushpa 2’ has been made for Rs 30 crore with Karnataka, Rs 50 crore with Tamil Nadu and Rs 20 crore with Kerala. Recently there was news that the film has sold theatrical rights worth Rs 125 crore for North America. The total overseas pre-release business is said to be Rs 140 crore.

The release date of ‘Pushpa 2’ is 6th December. It is being said that it can be brought a day earlier also on 5th December. It is said that the trailer of the film will be launched in the second week of November. Only after this the real promotion of the film will start.
