Alyssa Healy, niece of former Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy and wife of men’s team’s legendary bowler Mitchell Starc, made her international debut in 2010 at the age of 19 in a series against New Zealand. She would end her career having played 162 T20Is, 126 ODIs and 11 Test matches for Australia. Alyssa will end her career with a record 126 dismissals in T20Is.
One of the most dangerous batsmen and excellent wicketkeepers in women’s cricket, Alyssa Healy has been a part of eight ICC World Cup winning teams (six T20 and two ODI) and holds the record for the highest individual score in a World Cup final and most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in a Women’s T20I. Alyssa’s biggest success as captain was the 16-0 white wash against England in the multi-format Ashes.
Under the captaincy of Alyssa Healy, the Australian team was successful in reaching the semi-finals of the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup and 2025 Women’s World Cup. She was also a member of Australia’s gold medal-winning team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She was awarded the Belinda Clark Award in 2019 and two ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year awards (2018 and 2019).
