Amarnath Yatra 2026: LG Manoj Sinha reached Pahalgam base camp, issued a big appeal for devotees without registration.

This year Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is breaking all its previous records in Jammu and Kashmir. Amidst the huge enthusiasm of the devotees, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha himself took charge. On Sunday, LG Manoj Sinha made a surprise visit to Nunwan Base Camp in Pahalgam and took stock of the security and other arrangements. During this, he told that compared to the last 4 years, this time the biggest crowd of pilgrims is coming to see Baba Barfani. Special appeal to unregistered passengers: While talking to journalists from ground zero in Pahalgam, the Lieutenant Governor shared an important information. He said that this time a large number of devotees are arriving who have not done advance registration. LG Sinha made an emotional appeal to all the unregistered devotees and said that to make the journey safe and smooth, they should not hurry and wait only for their scheduled dates. The administration and Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board have made better and more concrete arrangements this time than ever before, so that no Shiva devotee faces any problem. The administration is fully prepared for the health and safety of the devotees in the 100-bed hi-tech hospital in Nunwan Camp. Reviewing the health facilities, LG Sinha said that a modern hospital with 100 beds has been working round the clock for the last two years at Nunwan Base Camp. About 2,500 patients are being treated and examined daily in this hospital, which proves the high-level medical preparations for the Amarnath Yatra. High-level meeting on security and logistics During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor also held a high-level review meeting with senior officials. Giving information on the social media platform ‘X’, he wrote that every small and big aspect related to the safe movement of pilgrims, accommodation arrangements, security measures, immediate registration and logistics has been discussed in detail in the meeting. Strict instructions have been given to the officials to keep the safety and convenience of every pilgrim on top priority and to make the pilgrims aware about the importance of valid registration date so that they do not have to wait for long at the base camp. He assured that the entire team is working day and night for Baba’s devotees.
