Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 has started with reverence and enthusiasm. On Saturday, the second day of the yatra, the third batch of Sant Samaj left for the holy darshan of Baba Barfani from Shri Ram Temple in Purani Mandi, Jammu. During this period, strict security arrangements were seen on the entire route. The devotees set out on the yatra with full enthusiasm amidst the deployment of central security forces and police. Before leaving for the yatra, the devotees openly appreciated the arrangements made by the administration. Talking to IANS, a devotee said that this is his first Amarnath Yatra and he has immense enthusiasm about it.
He said, “Baba has called, so we have set out. We are not worried about what will happen next. The administration has made excellent arrangements for the journey.” Another devotee said that the security arrangements are very strong and the presence of security forces is visible everywhere. According to him, the security on the yatra route is so strict that the devotees are feeling completely safe. He also said that after the removal of Article 370, there has been improvement in the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Special enthusiasm regarding the yatra was also seen among the women devotees.
A female devotee said, “Baba had called, so I had to go. All necessary arrangements have been made by the administration and we are not facing any kind of problem.” Another devotee praised the Indian Army and paramilitary forces and said that the security forces are fully engaged in protecting the devotees. He said that the devotees are returning safely after having darshan of Baba Barfani, which has increased both the confidence and enthusiasm of the people. A female devotee prayed to Lord Shiva for the safe and successful journey of all the passengers and said that Baba may shower his blessings on all the devotees. He also described the administration’s arrangements as satisfactory.
Another devotee included in the third batch said that his wish was to go on the yatra on the very first day, but now he has got the opportunity to join the third batch. He said that after the removal of Article 370, the incidents of stone pelting have reduced and the fear of terrorist incidents is also felt less than before. For this reason, a large number of devotees are fearlessly coming to see Baba Barfani. During Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026, extensive security and facilities arrangements have been made by the administration, police, Indian Army and central paramilitary forces, so that the devotees coming from all over the country can complete their journey safely and smoothly.
