Amarnath Yatra: Amarnath Yatra started for the darshan of Baba Barfani, devotees left from Baltal and Pahalgam after rain.
Much awaited holy darshan of Baba Barfani Amarnath Yatra Amarnath Yatra has started. The journey was affected for some time due to rain in the morning, but as soon as the weather cleared, the first batch of devotees left for the holy cave from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Extensive arrangements for security and facilities have been made on the yatra route.
A large number of devotees are arriving on the very first day to have darshan of Baba Barfani. The administration has deployed various agencies to conduct the Yatra in a safe and orderly manner.
Amarnath Yatra continues through two routes
Devotees are using both Baltal and Pahalgam routes for Amarnath Yatra. The distance of the holy cave from Baltal route is about 14 kilometers, while from Pahalgam route this distance is about 45 kilometers.
Movement started again after rain
The yatra was stopped for some time due to heavy rain in the morning. After the weather became normal, the administration completed the security check and allowed the devotees to proceed. Passengers are being allowed to proceed on the journey route only after RFID check at Domel near Baltal.
Thousands of devotees arrived on the first day
About 20 thousand devotees are expected to reach Amarnath cave on the first day of the yatra. Enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees regarding the yatra.
Will end on 28th August
This year the Amarnath Yatra will last for 57 days and will conclude on August 28, the day of Rakshabandhan.
Strict security arrangements
Police, Army and CRPF personnel have been deployed for the security and assistance of the devotees on the Yatra route (Amarnath Yatra). The security forces are continuously helping the travelers and helping them reach the cave safely.
