Amarnath Yatra: High level meeting of Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security of Amarnath Yatra, foolproof plan ready.

Read: A high level meeting is going on in Delhi under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Amarnath Yatra. This includes National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha, Army Chief, CRPF Director General and top officials. Preparations for the security of Amarnath Yatra and facilities provided to the pilgrims are being examined. The Central Government is moving forward on the commitment of safe and orderly travel.

This year Amarnath Yatra is starting from 3rd July, which will continue for 57 days. The pilgrimage will conclude on August 28 on the occasion of Shravan Purnima and Rakshabandhan. A limit of about 10 thousand pilgrims per day has been fixed. A round of hectic meetings is already going on regarding Amarnath Yatra. Friday- Today the Home Minister has called a review meeting. In this, everything from security of pilgrims to facilities and preparations to deal with emergency situations are being tested.

Pilgrimage will remain under impenetrable security cordon

An impenetrable security cordon is being prepared for Amarnath Yatra. Approval has been given to deploy about 670 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The process of deploying these security forces in a phased manner has been started. Intensive investigation is being done at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and other sensitive places. Security agencies will maintain a multi-layered security cordon during the pilgrimage.

Better facilities to devotees

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has issued instructions to provide better facilities to the devotees coming on Amarnath Yatra. The accommodation arrangements for the devotees and the availability of basic facilities like transport, health services, cleanliness, electricity and water have been reviewed. Once again their condition is being examined.

Heads of security agencies arrived

The final outline of security arrangements and administrative preparations is being drawn in the ongoing meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Amarnath Yatra. Apart from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dullu, DGP Nalin Prabhat, Intelligence Chief Nitish Kumar, Union Home Secretary, heads of CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, Intelligence Bureau and top Army officers were present in this high level meeting.
