April 2026 : Amazon announced today that “Amazon Now”, its delivery service within minutes, will be expanded to 100 cities in India. For this expansion, the company will strengthen its specialized fulfillment system and set up more than 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers (MFCs). Customers in metro and non-metro cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Meerut, Mysore, Panipat, Kochi, Amritsar, Mangaluru and Visakhapatnam (Vizag) can shop through this service. Also, this service will be available in the existing cities of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bangalore. With this service, customers will be able to get thousands of daily necessities like grocery (fruits and vegetables, frozen food), personal care products, fashion and beauty products, small electronic devices, baby products, pet supplies, health supplements, etc., within minutes.

This expansion will allow more than 16,000 farmers to take advantage of our technology and methodology and deliver their products directly to consumers through sellers on Amazon Now. Customers will continue to benefit from ultra-fast delivery with the largest selection available from our sellers, thousands of daily essentials, including non-perishables, within minutes, over a million same day and another 4 million next day available on Amazon.in.”

Amazon Now’s rapid expansion is part of Amazon’s over Rs 2800 crore (~USD 300 million) investment in India.
