The roots of this entire controversy are hidden in the year 2017. Pawan Verma, an event organizer from Moradabad, had alleged that Ameesha Patel was booked to perform at a wedding ceremony on 16 November 2017. According to Pawan Verma, the actress was given an advance of Rs 14.50 lakh and complete arrangements were made for her accommodation. It is alleged that Ameesha did not reach the program that day. Later, some amount was returned as a compromise, but the check given for Rs 4.50 lakh bounced in the bank.
Strict action of the court
In this check bounce case, when the actress did not appear in the court despite repeated summons, the Moradabad court took a tough stance and issued a warrant against her.
Ameesha Patel’s counterattack on the matter
As soon as this news spread like wildfire on social media, Ameesha Patel gave her clarification by sharing a long note on her Instagram. Describing these reports as baseless, he has made serious allegations against the opposition party itself. Ameesha wrote in her post, “The action being taken by Pawan Verma of Moradabad is being mentioned in the media. I want to make it clear to everyone that this matter is years old and has already been resolved. That person had signed the agreement papers and had also recovered the entire agreed amount.”

Ameesha’s team also says that when the matter was settled ‘out of court’ years ago, then suddenly raking it up again is beyond comprehension. The actress says that she wants to focus on her career and work and ignore people who want to attract attention by maligning her name.
However, legal experts believe that since the court has issued a non-bailable warrant, Ameesha will soon have to follow the legal process to prove her innocence.
