“America has unlimited weapons, the war can go on forever” – Trump’s big claim amid Iran tension
Washington. Amidst increasing tension with Iran, US President Donald Trump has given a big statement regarding the country’s arms stockpile. He said the US’s supply of medium and advanced weapons is at its strongest ever and their availability is “virtually unlimited”.
Trump claimed in his social media post that America can fight the war for a long time and effectively on the basis of the existing ammunition stockpile. According to him, American weapons are better than even the most advanced weapons of other countries and if needed, the war can be fought indefinitely.
Can the war drag on?
After this statement of Trump, the question is being raised whether the ongoing conflict with Iran can drag on for a long time. He clearly indicated that America is ready for any situation and there is no shortage of military capability.
Concern expressed on high-end weapons-
However, Trump also admitted that the supply of high-end weapons is not yet at the level he would like. But he said there are also large quantities of advanced weapons deployed abroad that can be used immediately if needed.
Sharp attack on Biden and Ukraine-
In his statement, Trump targeted former President Joe Biden and accused him of spending America’s time and resources in giving arms to Ukraine.
Referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump said the US gave hundreds of billions of dollars worth of arms to Ukraine for free, but did not pay enough attention to strengthening its arms stockpile.
“I strengthened the army again”-
Trump claimed that in his first term he reinvigorated the US military and work is still going on to increase military capabilities. He said America is fully prepared and can achieve a “big victory” under any circumstances.
No need for ground army-
On the question of the attack on the US Embassy in Riyadh, Trump indicated that a response would come soon. However, he clarified that there would be no need for deployment of US troops on the ground in Iranian territory.
These statements of Trump have increased the stir in global politics and there is a possibility of further deepening of tension in the Middle East.
