Israel has made it clear that India is much better and more reliable than Pakistan in terms of peace talks and mediation. On one hand, Pakistan is trying hard to become a mediator between America and Iran, on the other hand, Iran has also shown a strong attitude and has clearly refused any kind of talks with America. Recently, during an interview, Israeli Foreign Ministry’s special envoy Fleur Hasan-Nahum blasted Pakistan’s mediation efforts. When he was asked about Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir’s offer to host talks, he gave a sharp reaction. Flur bluntly said that Pakistan is just doing drama to show itself relevant. He sarcastically said that how can a country which itself is a big problem in the world of Jihadi terrorism, bring peace? Israel believes that if it comes to peace talks, India will prove to be a more capable and better mediator than Pakistan. Pakistan is trying to present itself as a big diplomatic player amidst this West Asian conflict that is shaking the global economy. Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had made tall claims on Sunday saying that Islamabad will soon host talks between America and Iran. He had given this statement after discussing the West Asia crisis with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey. Iran bluntly said – No problem with America, even shrugs off Pakistan’s initiative. Iran has completely ruined these imaginary schemes of Pakistan. On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai made it clear that Tehran is not in any talks with America to end the war. Baghai revealed that he has definitely received messages from America through intermediaries that they are ready for talks, but Washington’s conditions are completely illogical. Iran’s stand is very clear – there has been a military attack on them and now their entire focus is only on their defense and military preparedness. In the press briefing, Baghai completely distanced Iran from the meetings being held in Pakistan, terming them as his ‘personal initiative’. He clarified that there have been no direct talks between America and Iran. The request for talks with America was made only through third countries, but Iran has rejected it outright.
