Arvind Kejriwal’s statement amid NEET-UG 2026 controversy, appeals to students to take to the streets

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reacted amid allegations of paper leak regarding NEET UG and claims of cancellation of the exam. Kejriwal said that if allegations of irregularities are coming to light regarding the examination process and the future of students, then there should be a serious investigation. He appealed to the students to raise their voice for their rights and future.

In the press conference, Kejriwal claimed that this is not the first time that incidents like paper leak have come to light in the NEET exam. According to him, such incidents have happened many times before, raising questions on the credibility of the examination system. He alleged that this could not only be a case of administrative negligence but of collusion on a large scale. Kejriwal said that the future of lakhs of students is being played with and strict action should be taken on this.

Taking aim at the government, he said, “How will those who cannot even conduct examinations properly run the country?” He described the situation as very serious and demanded an investigation. Expressing sympathy towards the students, he said that he stands with them and appealed to the students to raise their voice for their rights. He said that if necessary, students should adopt the path of agitation, because the government only understands the language of mass movement.

CBI will investigate NEET paper leak

Taking a big decision, NTA has announced the cancellation of the medical entrance examination NEET UG held on May 3. The agency has said that the exam will be conducted again soon. According to NTA, this step has been taken after complaints of some allegations and irregularities related to the examination came to light. CBI will now conduct a detailed investigation into these allegations. The agency has also clarified that it will extend full cooperation in the investigation process and provide all necessary documents, records and technical assistance to the CBI. NTA said that the re-examination will be conducted in a transparent and fair manner keeping in mind the interests of the students, so that trust can be maintained in the entire process.

The agency said that this step has been taken to maintain transparency and maintain the trust of students in the national examination system. According to NTA, based on the information received and preliminary findings shared by the investigating agencies, it became clear that it would not be appropriate to continue with the current examination process. The agency said in the statement that the examination will be conducted again and its date and schedule for issuing admit cards will be announced through official channels in the next few days.

NSUI protest against NEET paper leak

Congress-affiliated student organization NSUI held a strong demonstration in the capital Delhi on Tuesday over the alleged paper leak issue of NEET UG 2026. The students’ organization protested near Shastri Bhawan and demanded an impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities in the examination process. The protesters alleged that the future of students was being affected due to repeated irregularities in the medical entrance examination. This examination was conducted on May 3, after which allegations of question paper leak came to light. After the matter came to light, SOG and other central agencies started investigation. NSUI demanded that there should be a high level and time bound investigation into the entire matter so that the culprits can be identified and strict action can be taken and such incidents can be prevented in future.
