Amit Shah Meets Bharat Taxi Drivers: Today Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah had an important conversation with the charioteers (drivers) of ‘Bharat Taxi’. In this town hall-like conversation, he explained the features of Bharat Taxi’s cooperative model and emphasized that this platform will make the drivers the owners and not the beneficiaries of any private company.
Shah said that the objective of Bharat Taxi is not to earn huge profits, but to strengthen the hard working charioteers. He clarified that 80% of the earnings on the platform will go to drivers based on the kilometers covered by them, while 20% will be reserved as cooperative capital. Additionally, they promised that no driver would earn less than the base rate, which is often the case with private apps.
