Union Home Minister Amit Shah (Amit Shah) addressed a grand public meeting at Nagaon in Assam on Monday. They Modi Govt (Modi Government) reviewed the performance and also attacked the Congress party (Congress) on the issue of infiltration. Shah said that the Modi government has spent Rs 15 lakh crore on the development of Assam. Development work has been going on for 11 years, but Congress party has never developed Assam.

Congress allowed the infiltrators to settle in the country

Amit Shah further said that the Congress party allowed the infiltrators to settle in the country. Taking action against infiltrators is a priority of the Modi government. The Modi government has taken several important steps to ensure peace in the Northeast, signing peace accords with militant outfits. Intruders are being driven away. Shah said that the infiltrators will be driven out from the entire country.

Congress made the infiltrators its “vote bank”.

Amit Shah alleged that the Congress party had planted infiltrators in Assam, used them as a “vote bank” and tampered with the local culture. He said that the Congress government never respected the martyrs of the Assam movement. The central government has signed historic peace accords with several militant organizations to bring peace to the North East. 92% of the terms of these agreements have been implemented. About 10,500 militants have surrendered and joined the mainstream.

Amit Shah praised Chief Minister Sarma

The Home Minister lauded Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that more than 1,00,000 bighas of land in the state have been freed from encroachers. Amit Shah inaugurated the Rs 227 crore redevelopment project of Batdrava Than, the birthplace of Vaishnav saint Shrimant Shankardev. He said that the place, which was earlier occupied by intruders, has now been liberated and transformed into a magnificent spiritual centre. Shah also said that if BJP gets another chance in future, not only Assam but the entire country will be freed from infiltration. He also said that Assam is a part of India today due to the efforts of Bharatratna Gopinath Bordoloi.
