Amit Shah Response on Humayun Kabir Viral Video: These days, the phase of allegations and counter-allegations is at its peak in the political atmosphere of West Bengal. Amidst the election turmoil, a video created a stir in the corridors of power. The case pertains to alleged transactions worth crores of rupees and a conspiracy to polarize Muslim votes.

What is in the video of deal worth Rs 1000 crore?

Actually, this whole controversy started on 9 April 2026, when TMC shared a video on social media. This video went viral within no time. Former TMC MLA Humayun Kabir is reportedly seen in this video. It has been claimed in the video that Kabir is admitting in a conversation with an unknown person that BJP is giving him Rs 1000 crore, so that he can harm Mamata Banerjee’s government by dividing minority votes.

It was also said in this video that payment of Rs 200 to 300 crore has already been made. Calling it a big conspiracy against democracy, TMC has demanded an investigation into the matter by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

North Pole and South Pole can never meet: Amit Shah

On Friday, when Home Minister Amit Shah presented the BJP’s election manifesto i.e. ‘Sankalp Patra’ in Kolkata. When he came to release it, he was asked a question on this viral video. Shah rejected these allegations outright in a very strong tone. He said that the ideology of Humayun Kabir and Bharatiya Janata Party is ‘North Pole and South Pole’. Like, which can never be matched.

Taking a dig at Mamata Banerjee, he said that she has the capacity to make 2,000 such clips. Shah also made it clear that the BJP would rather sit on the opposition bench for the next 20 years than join hands with a person whose only agenda is to build Babri Masjid in Bengal. He described Kabir as a staunch opponent of BJP ideologically.

Humayun Kabir presented clarification

Humayun Kabir has also given his clarification on this entire matter. He termed this video as completely fake and claimed that it has been made with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Kabir believes that Mamata Banerjee is scared of his increasing activism, hence this conspiracy has been hatched to tarnish her image. He has also said that a defamation case will be filed against TMC in this matter.

Interestingly, after this controversy, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has also broken its alliance with Kabir. AIMIM says that they do not want to be a part of any such controversial statement or suspicious activity.

As the date of 23rd April is approaching, the election battle of Bengal is becoming more complicated. BJP has made big promises in its manifesto like implementing the Seventh Pay Commission and providing financial help to women, while the ‘deal’ and ‘Funding’ Such allegations have heated up the election atmosphere. On one hand, Amit Shah’s tough stance has made it clear that BJP is firm on its Hindutva image and promises of development, while on the other hand, TMC still calls BJP ‘outsider and conspirator’.
