Amit Shah to Inaugurate Anti-Terror Conference in New Delhi
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will inaugurate the Anti-Terror Conference in New Delhi on Friday, December 26, 2025.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is organising the two-day event.
The conference, shaped under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of zero tolerance for terror, has steadily evolved into a vital platform for brainstorming India’s next-generation strategies to counter emerging threats. Moreover, it brings together operational forces, technical experts, legal and forensic specialists, and agencies engaged in counter-terrorism.
The central focus of the conference is on developing synergies among stakeholders for coordinated action against terrorism in the spirit of a “Whole of Government approach.” In addition, it aims to present substantive inputs for future policy formulation.
Deliberations will include sharing experiences and best practices across law enforcement agencies, lessons from terror investigations, and strategies to strengthen institutional capacities. Furthermore, the sessions will highlight innovative approaches to address evolving challenges.
Key sessions will cover:
- Collecting evidence from foreign jurisdictions
- Digital forensics and data analysis in CT investigations
- Effective trial management
- Addressing radicalisation and espionage
- Tackling hybrid threats to national security
- Disrupting terror financing networks through tools, techniques, and case studies
- Building future-ready counter-terrorism strategies
Senior police officers from States and Union Territories, officials from central agencies, and experts from law, forensics, and technology fields will participate actively in the conference. Consequently, the event is expected to strengthen collaboration and enhance India’s preparedness against terrorism.
