Amit Shah’s claim: NDA will rule for years to come

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing public meetings held in Kolhapur and Ichalkaranji in Maharashtra on Saturday, said that the last 12 years of tenure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is only a beginning and the rule of BJP and NDA will continue in the country for many years to come.

Kolhapur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a public meeting and development programs in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, said that the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue for many years to come. He said the 12 years of Modi tenure is “only the beginning” and India will further enter a new phase of development, cultural renaissance and national security.

In the programs organized in Kolhapur and Ichalkaranji, the Home Minister also launched several development projects, which included schemes related to religious heritage conservation.

In his address, Amit Shah said that when the history of independent India is written, the 12 years of Modi government will be seen as the time of revival of the country and enhancing India’s prestige at the global level. He claimed that the political influence of BJP and NDA will remain strong in the coming years also. He said that the government’s focus is not limited to politics only, but on taking forward infrastructure, defence, technology and cultural heritage together.

After launching the Ambabai Temple Corridor project in Kolhapur, Shah said that the scheme is an important step towards preserving the religious and cultural heritage. The project will be developed at a cost of approximately Rs 500 crore and will be designed as a modern pilgrimage site.

He informed that the project will include AI based security system, LED lighting, heritage galleries, light and sound shows, and multi-purpose facilities. Besides, conservation work of 41 nearby temples will also be done. Shah said that investing in the country’s cultural heritage is not wasteful in any way, because these places are the center of the country’s identity and inspiration.

Government’s focus on security, defense and self-reliance

In his speech, the Home Minister said that India’s defense capabilities have strengthened over the years. Referring to surgical strikes and anti-terrorism operations, he said that the army has been modernized and India is now moving towards self-reliance in defense production. He said that the manufacturing of missiles and modern military equipment has increased in the country, which has increased India’s security capability.

Shah also mentioned the schemes of agriculture sector. He said that the government has directly transferred the assistance amount into the accounts of the farmers and has also given financial assistance through tax relief. He compared the policies of the previous governments with the plans of the present government. In his address, Amit Shah took a tough stand on the issue of infiltration and said that the security of the country is paramount. He said that the government will identify illegal infiltrators and take action. He also said that India will not tolerate any kind of illegal activities.
