Ahmedabad, 28 December. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, who is on a visit to his home state Gujarat, took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who raised the issue of SIR, and said that he should be ready to accept defeat in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu also.
Amit Shah made this comment on Sunday while addressing the inauguration program of the Western Trunk Main Line Project, which is essential for the western and south-western areas of Ahmedabad city along with various development projects of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, prepared at a cost of Rs 330 crore.
Attacking Congress, Amit Shah said that the public representative is responsible for his work. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created this work culture in Gujarat and in the entire country. Instead of understanding this, Rahul Gandhi is busy trying to understand SIR, which is not his job.
Shah taunted Rahul Gandhi and said – ‘Rahul Baba, don’t get tired of defeat yet. You are going to lose in Bengal and Tamil Nadu also, make sure of this. Bharatiya Janata Party government is going to be formed under the leadership of Modi ji in 2029 also.
In the program of distributing certificates to the resettled people of Navi Vanjar village, the BJP leader said that the citizens who lost everything in the Sabarmati flood disaster of 1973 have got the ownership rights of the plots today after 50 years. In a big city like Ahmedabad, 173 beneficiaries may seem less in number, but this moment is very historic and emotional for them. The problem that had been going on for five decades was solved.

The Union Minister said that earlier there was no proper sewage disposal system available for about 15 lakh citizens of West and South-West Ahmedabad. The areas from Shela to Chandkheda witnessed rapid urbanization from 2000 to 2005, but building a complete drainage system required a huge budget and a long time. He said that as an MP, he is saddened to see sewerage overflowing at some places.
Amit Shah said, ‘The main reason for fulfilling the old demands with sensitivity is the politics of sensitive development established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has created a work culture of solving their problems from Gujarat to the entire country.
