Amit Shah’s visit to Sanchu border: morale of soldiers boosted, many big instructions given regarding border security
Bikaner. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday reached BSF’s historic Sanchu post located on the India-Pakistan international border. During this time, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma was also present with him. The Home Minister met the soldiers deployed on the border and encouraged them and paid tribute to the martyred border guards.
Important instructions given in the sentinel conference-
Addressing the sentinel conference organized at Sanchu Post, Amit Shah said that any unusual activity should be kept under close watch in the 50 km area along the border. He directed that information about illegal construction taking place in the border villages should be immediately given to the civil administration and police. He clarified that the role of BSF is not limited to border security only, but vigilant monitoring of the activities happening at the local level is also necessary.
BSF appreciated in Operation Sindoor-
The Home Minister praised the performance of BSF soldiers during Operation Sindoor. He said that from snowy areas to the scorching heat of the desert, the soldiers have shown amazing courage and devotion to duty. During this, he also paid tribute to about 2 thousand soldiers who were martyred in the line of duty.
Communication and breakfast with the soldiers-
During the visit, Amit Shah interacted informally with the soldiers and also had breakfast with them. He learned about the duty and security challenges in desert conditions and boosted the morale of the soldiers.
E-inauguration of women barracks-
The Home Minister also e-inaugurated 14 new women barracks of BSF. According to officials, construction of 67 out of 79 women barracks sanctioned in Rajasthan has been completed. He said that the participation of women in the Border Security Force is continuously increasing.
Inspection of modern technology-
Amit Shah inspected the arms gallery and modern surveillance systems including drone technology. He observed the Zero Point area through binoculars and said that to strengthen the border security, BSF, Army, civilians and administration will have to work together to create a strong security framework.
Border developments and new projects-
He informed that 1096 km long littoral road and 520 km XCL road are being constructed on the border. Besides, work on anti-drone system and modern fencing is also going on at a rapid pace.
Remembered the glorious history of Sanchu Post-
Referring to the India-Pakistan war of 1965, Amit Shah said that the history of Sanchu Post is full of bravery and sacrifice. He described it as a proud chapter of Indian military history.
Worship and plantation in Sanchu Mata Temple-
The Home Minister offered prayers at Sanchu Mata Temple and gave the message of environmental protection by planting a Khejri sapling in the premises. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also participated in this program.
High level meeting will be held in Bikaner-
After the tour, Amit Shah will hold a high-level meeting at the BSF headquarters in Bikaner, which will be attended by collectors and SPs of border districts. Border security, smuggling prevention, road network, 4G connectivity and Vibrant Village Scheme will be discussed in detail in the meeting.
