He reached the set at around 6 pm, i.e. about 9 hours late. Amrish Puri got angry due to his lateness and an argument started between the two. According to media reports, the argument escalated so much that Amrish Puri got angry and slapped Govinda. This incident was much talked about at that time and there was a lot of talk about it in the industry as well.

Aamir Khan was also reprimanded

Not only Govinda, but Aamir Khan also had to face the anger of Amrish Puri. This incident happened during the shooting of the 1985 film Jabardasth. At that time Aamir Khan was helping his uncle and film director Nasir Hussain. During the shooting, Aamir Khan interrupted Amrish Puri two-three times regarding a scene, due to which he got angry. In anger, he scolded Aamir fiercely in front of everyone on the set.
