Instagram comment dispute took bloody form in Delhi, father stabbed to death before daughter’s marriage
In today’s time, social media is used fearlessly, but recently a case has come to light in Sadar Bazar area of North Delhi where a dispute over Instagram story took a violent form. A family immersed in the joys of marriage was left with a mountain of sorrow when a comment made on social media gave rise to violence and a father lost his life. Police reached the incident site and started investigation and sent the body for post-mortem.

A dispute over social media led to violence in North Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area, in which a father, Satish, was stabbed to death. According to the police, the accused first beat him up and during this time one of the accused stabbed Satish in the chest. Injured Satish was taken to Lady Hardinge Hospital, but doctors declared him dead. His wife also suffered injuries in the incident.
The accused had fled after the incident, but with the help of technical surveillance and mobile location, the police arrested all three from different places. One of these accused was caught from Bakkarwala in Bahru Delhi and two others from Nandgram area of Ghaziabad. Police have initiated legal action in the matter and investigation is ongoing.
Accused arrested, knife used in attack also recovered
Police obtained important information from accused Aman in the case of murder of father Satish after Instagram comment controversy. According to the police, Aman, while in police custody, led the team to the place of hiding the weapons. On receiving his information, the button operated knife used in the crime was recovered and it was sealed and taken into custody. All the accused have been arrested as per legal provisions and presented in the court. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
According to police officials, preliminary investigation revealed that comments made on social media were the main reason for the dispute. A case has been registered on murder charges and further investigation is underway. This incident has once again raised concerns over the serious consequences of social media disputes. The family, which was immersed in the happiness of marriage, is now in deep shock and mourning.
What is the whole matter?
The girl, living in Motia Khan area of Delhi, had a court marriage with a young man named Krishna on 18 February. Preparations were going on for the reception to be held on 23 February. According to the police, at around 8:45 pm on February 20, the girl, who was a relative, allegedly made objectionable comments on an Instagram story related to the wedding. After this the controversy escalated and later this Instagram comment took a violent turn.
There was a taunt in the comment about the girl “running away and getting married”. There was a debate on phone between both the parties regarding this comment. It is alleged that during the conversation, abuses and threats were also made. In order to settle the matter, the deceased Satish along with his wife and daughter reached the house of the accused party. While returning, he was stopped in the street and attacked.
