Anand, March 2, 2026 – Anand Agricultural University Anand Agricultural University had achieved success at different levels in various sports in the staff tournament organized among the employees of various agricultural universities of the state. This tournament was organized in Anand last week.

Anand Agricultural University is hosted by four agricultural universities of the state – Anand Agricultural University, Junagadh Agricultural University, Navsari Agricultural University, Sardarkrishnanagar. Dantiwada A staff tournament was organized for the employee brothers and sisters of Agricultural University, Kamdhenu University and Gujarat Natural Farming Sciences University, Halol. It was done at Anand from 23rd to 24th February-2026.

tournamentAs part of the event, games like cricket, badminton, table tennis, chess and volleyball were organized for men, while badminton and table tennis competitions were organized for women. Inauguration of Sports Festival. On 22/02/2026, Auditorium Hall, B.A. Agricultural College, Dr. K.B. Kathiriya became the chairperson of the Vice Chancellor.
Dr. was the special guest in the inaugural program. J.K. Patel, Extension Education Controller, Dr. G.R. Patel, Registrar, Anand Agricultural University and Dr. S.R.Tel, Acharya and Vidyashakhadhyaksha, B.A. Agricultural College, Anand Agricultural University were present. The Vice Chancellor had encouraged all the players during the inaugural program and extended best wishes for the tournament.
Prize distribution ceremony for the winners on 24/02/2026 at Auditorium Hall, B.A. Agricultural College, Dr. K.B. Kathiriya was held in the Vice-Chancellor’s office and trophies were awarded to the winners.

Anand Agricultural University was champion in Volleyball (brothers) and runner-up in Badminton (brothers), Table Tennis (brothers), Table Tennis (brothers) and Chess (brothers). Whereas Sardarkrishnagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrishnagar became champion in Cricket (brothers), Badminton (brothers) and Chess (brothers) and Runners-up in Volleyball (brothers). Navsari Agricultural University was the champion in Badminton (Sisters) and Table Tennis (Sisters) and runner-up in Cricket (Brothers). Kamdhenu University was the champion in Table Tennis (Brothers) and the team of Gujarat Natural Farming Sciences University was the runner-up in Badminton (Sisters).
This entire tournament was organized by Dr. K.B. Kathiriya, under the guidance of Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dinesh.H. Patel, Controller, Student Welfare, Anand Agricultural University.
