Anant Ambani’s big contribution to Tirupati Devasthanam, 25 electric buses will strengthen EV fleet
Knews Desk– Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has received major support towards promoting electric mobility. Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani has announced to donate 25 electric buses to the institute, the total estimated cost of which is said to be around ₹27.5 crore. This initiative is being considered an important step towards strengthening the EV based transportation system of the temple administration.
Recently, Anant Ambani also visited Tirupati temple, where he offered prayers in traditional attire and participated in the morning service. During the temple darshan, he followed the religious traditions and also performed the Mundan Sanskar, which is a major faith tradition of the devotees visiting Tirupati.
EV mobility will get new expansion
The 25 electric buses received under this donation will be used to increase the convenience of passengers in the Tirupati temple complex and surrounding areas. This initiative is part of the long-term effort of the temple administration, under which a plan is being worked on to make the transport system completely environment friendly.
This assistance extended by Anant Ambani is not limited to buses only, but also includes a broader cooperation model. Reliance Industries will also bear the salaries of 50 bus drivers, which will strengthen the operational system. Besides, electric vehicle charging stations will also be established in the temple premises, so that there is no hindrance in the operation of EV buses.
Focus on infrastructure and human resources
Experts believe that the biggest challenge in expanding the EV fleet is the availability of charging infrastructure and trained drivers. In such a situation, this initiative addresses both the challenges simultaneously, which will help the temple administration in faster adoption of electric mobility in future.
Apart from this, Anant Ambani has also committed to support the modernization of TTD’s cow shed on the lines of ‘Vantara’, Gujarat-based Reliance’s wildlife conservation initiative. This is also expected to give a new dimension to the preservation and development of traditional arrangements related to the temple.
Confluence of religious and social initiatives
This contribution is being seen as a confluence of religious faith and modern technology, where eco-friendly transportation system is being promoted at the traditional pilgrimage site. Lakhs of devotees visit Tirupati temple every year, so this fleet of electric buses will not only increase convenience but will also help in reducing carbon emissions.
This step of Anant Ambani is being considered an important contribution towards modernizing the transport system of Tirupati Devasthanam and promoting green energy.
