According to experts, this malware is a new and deadly form of the ‘AlbirioX’ variant originally caught in Austria. It has been confirmed to be active in many countries including India and till now more than 3700 devices have been affected by it. Its most scary feature is misuse of ‘Accessibility Service’. As soon as it is installed, it asks you for permission for the service which is actually made to help the disabled. As soon as you click on ‘Allow’, hackers get ‘God Mode’ i.e. super power of your phone.

Steals your OTP while sitting in the background

Once they gain control, hackers can see your phone’s screen (screen mirroring), see what you’re typing (keystroke logging), and even steal your passwords. The most dangerous thing is that when you do any transaction, it silently gets active in the background, reads your OTP and transfers the money to another account without your knowledge. The Home Ministry in its advisory dated March 30 RAT (Remote Access Trojan) It is said that its main target is Fintech, Crypto and UPI apps.
