Aneet Padda’s Lakmé Fashion Week Look Sparks Trolls & Online Debate
Mumbai: ‘Saiyaara’ actress Aneet Padda’s appearance at Lakmé Fashion Week 2026 sparked mixed reactions online, with netizens trolling and debating her look and ramp walk.
Aneet, who closed the show for Pero, walked as Lakmé’s Gen Z ambassador in a handcrafted blue-and-white outfit that reflected the label’s signature style.
The look featured a textured appliqué dress paired with a cropped jacket, designed with a soft structure, fine detailing, and a muted colour palette.
The outfit had a youthful, slightly playful feel rather than a high-glam look, staying true to the label’s style.
However, many viewers felt the styling didn’t work as intended.
Several users felt the silhouette didn’t flatter her frame, while others questioned the mix of textures and layers.
One user commented, “Wow that is unflattering. The styling is just strange. The walk is….odd.”
Pointing to the absence of traditional runway elements like heels and sharper styling, another user remarked, “This aint the outfit or shoes for her! This is such a bad choice.”
More than the outfit, it was Aneet’s walk that got the most attention. Many felt it didn’t have the confidence and polish usually seen in professional models.
“Oh dear, the walk is bad… this looks like a walk in park not ramp,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “Modelling should be left to the models!”
Some reactions were harsher, with people comparing Aneet’s walk to that of a beginner.
Others said the criticism shows how unrealistic expectations can be for actors entering the fashion world.
One commented, “People should stop shoving Bollywood actors up on the ramp walk.”
