Chinese actress Angelababy was recently spotted at a gathering hosted by her manager Kim Chou, in celebration of Kim’s birthday, marking a rare public appearance by the actress.

The event, held on Wednesday, featured a notable guest list that included Hong Kong actor Louis Koo and singer Stephy Tang, as reported by Dimsum Daily.
Angelababy has reduced her public engagements in the entertainment industry since September last year, after facing criticism for allegedly attending a striptease performance at the Paris-based cabaret Crazy Horse, which featured Blackpink’s Lisa.
The backlash stemmed from accusations of violating Chinese laws, which classify stripping as a sexually related activity and prohibit entertainment industry workers from organizing, attending, or promoting such activities.
Kim, who began her career in artist, celebrity, and model management in 2007, has made significant strides in the industry. She is known for her collaborations with several celebrities, including Hong Kong actress Isabella Leong and model-actress Lynn Hung.

Angelababy, born Yang Ying and aged 35, has diversified her career to include roles as a model, businesswoman, investor, and singer since her entertainment debut in 2007. She has emerged as one of China’s foremost actresses.
Her personal life has also been in the spotlight following a highly publicized divorce from Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, 47. The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2014, married in 2015, and welcomed a son in 2017, announced their divorce in 2022.
