Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s troubles increased after the controversial out, IPL imposed huge fine and gave demerit points
IPL News: The match played on Sunday evening at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow is going to increase the heartbeats of the fans. In which the result of win and loss was decided by Super Over and Kolkata Knight Riders registered the second win of this season. But, a big controversy arose during this match, when KKR batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi was declared out on Lucknow’s appeal for ‘obstructing the field’. On which the batsman had expressed his displeasure. At the same time, IPL has imposed a huge fine on Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

The IPL issued a statement on Monday saying that Kolkata Knight Riders batsman and wicketkeeper Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been fined 20% of his match fee and also given one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct for players and team officials during Match No. 38 against Lucknow Super Giants. Raghuvanshi was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct, which relates to “misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match”.
The incident occurred in the 5th over, when Raghuvanshi, after being given out for ‘obstructing the field’, angrily hit the boundary cushion with his bat and then threw his helmet into the dugout in the same anger. Raghuvanshi admitted his mistake and accepted the punishment given by the match referee.
