Anil Ambani’s house ‘Abode’ Seized, big action by ED, assets worth Rs 15 thousand crores have been confiscated till now
Anil Ambani House Seized: In a major action, the Enforcement Directorate has seized Anil Ambani’s house Abode, this attachment took place after the order of the High Court. The value of the seized house is said to be Rs 3,716 crore, according to ED, till now action worth more than Rs 15 thousand crore has been taken against Anil and his group companies.
Important decision of 23 February
In a major blow to industrialist Anil Ambani, the Bombay High Court has rejected the decision of a single judge bench, which had restrained three banks and an audit firm from taking fraud action against him and Reliance Communications (RCOM).
After this latest decision of the Division Bench, the way for further action has now been cleared for the banks. The major banks involved in the case, Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank and Indian Overseas Bank, have now got permission to proceed with the process of declaring Ambani’s accounts as ‘fraud’ under the guidelines issued by RBI in the year 2024.
Termed the interim order as ‘unlawful’
A division bench of the Bombay High Court, comprising Chief Justice Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A Akhand, had quashed the interim order. The court termed the single judge’s interim order dated December 24, 2025 as ‘unlawful’ And it was canceled calling it “procedurally flawed”. The court clearly stated that staying such an order would be tantamount to continuing an illegal situation. Besides, Anil Ambani’s demand to stay the implementation of the decision was also rejected.

It is noteworthy that in December 2025, a single bench of Justice Milind N Jadhav, while giving temporary relief, had stopped the banks from issuing show cause notices and proceeding with the alleged fraud. After this the banks approached the division bench.
