Actor trolled for ignoring PM Modi, admitted his mistake, said – ‘The mistake was due to age’

In the video, PM Narendra Modi is seen extending his hand towards him, but the actor moves ahead without a handshake. After this he started being trolled on social media. Anil Kumar Rastogi was honored with Padma Shri for his contribution in the field of art, theatre, cinema and social service at the Padma Award ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. When he was moving forward to receive his honour. During this, PM Modi tried to do a handshake with him but he made a mistake. It can be seen in this video that when Rastogi was moving towards the stage, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen extending his hand towards him. But the actor went straight ahead and received the award from the President. After this video surfaced, many people trolled the Prime Minister for ignoring him.

The actor admitted his mistake

After the video went viral, Anil Kumar Rastogi has given clarification on social media. He said that he is more than 80 years old and this was a completely unintentional mistake. He wrote, ‘I want to tell those who are making fun that I am more than 80 years old. This was a mistake due to my age. I have a lot of respect for PM Narendra Modi and I believe that he is the best person to lead the country.

Anil Kumar Rastogi in his clarification not only talked about the mistake but also showed his respect towards PM Narendra Modi. He said that he respects the Prime Minister very much and there is no one better than him in the country. After his statement, many people on social media have also supported the actor on his mistake.

Anil Kumar Rastogi is not only an actor but also a scientist and known for social service. He was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to theatre, radio, television and cinema.
