During a press meet linked to the promotional activities of his upcoming film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, the filmmaker appeared to let slip a crucial detail about Venkatesh’s role in the film, sparking instant buzz online.

His Sankranthi 2025 release with Venkatesh, Sankranthik Vasthunnam, turned into a massive blockbuster. The family entertainer reportedly crossed Rs 300 crore at the box office, creating a new benchmark for the genre and further cementing Ravipudi’s crowd-pulling reputation.

Now, the director has teamed up with Chiranjeevi for Manasankar Varaprasad Garuwhich is lined up as a major Sankranthi release this year. The film has already generated strong pre-release excitement. The track Meesala Pilla alone has raced past the 100 million views mark, while a recently released mass song featuring both Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh has added to the hype.

During the launch event of the Chiranjeevi–Venkatesh song, Anil Ravipudi interacted with the media. That’s when the director seemingly revealed more than intended. While speaking about Venkatesh’s role, he confirmed that the actor appears in the film’s climax. He went on to say that Venkatesh would be on screen for nearly 25 minutes during the finale.

The comment quickly went viral, as fans had been speculating about the extent of Venkatesh’s presence in the film. Realising he had revealed a major detail, Ravipudi stopped himself and added that he wouldn’t say anything more. “If I say more, the thrill will be gone,” he remarked, trying to contain the damage. Still, the statement gave audiences a clear idea of what to expect, especially in the film’s closing stretch.

Manasankar Varaprasad Garu is set to hit theatres on January 12. Nayanthara plays the female lead, marking another high-profile collaboration.
