In an interview, she revealed that when she was around 9 or 10 years old, she faced a traumatic situation like molestation. This experience affected her on a deep level and she remembered it as a difficult and uncomfortable time. Her revelation highlights the importance of protection towards children in childhood.

Anita Hasanandani mentioned a horrifying incident from her school days in an interview. She told that her mother used to give her 10 rupees to go to school by rickshaw, but she used to save money and return on foot so that she could eat something in the canteen. Anita said that when she used to return on foot, a rickshaw puller used to harass her. He used to stand with his pants down and touch his lower part in a strange way, as well as stare at her with dirty eyes. This experience was extremely scary and uncomfortable for her, which affected her at a deep level.

Anita Hasanandani further revealed that she changed her route after that scary incident, but still she was always worried that the driver might be following her. Her anxiety increased especially when she was near the girls' school. She said that the rickshaw driver knew her new route and always had a rickshaw with him, so whenever a rickshaw was seen near the school, she would get scared. This experience shows the seriousness of safety not only for her but also for other girls.

Anita Hasanandani became a household name with “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein”, where she played a negative role which was loved by the audience. She married Rohit Reddy and became the mother of a son. After her pregnancy, Anita stayed away from the camera for five years, but now she has returned to TV with the show “Suman Indori”.
