Announcement of three days mourning on Nasrallah's death, demonstration of Muslims in Lucknow

Hussainabad Food Street remained closed on Sunday in protest against the assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Hezbollah organization in Lebanon. Black flags were put up on shops and houses. People gathered from Chhota Imambara to Big Imambara and raised slogans against Israel and America. Thousands of men, women and children took out a procession in the light of candles and mobile torches. Late in the evening, the procession that started from Chhote Imambara was stopped by the police near Satkhanda as it went some distance but people did not stop and ended after reaching Bade Imambara. Shia religious leader Maulana Kalbe Jawad has declared three days of mourning on the death of Hassan Nasrallah. He said that one Nasrallah has been martyred and many Nasrallahs will be born.

People started gathering at Chhota Imambara from 5 o'clock in the evening. As the evening approached, hundreds of people had arrived. As soon as the procession came out from Chhota Imambara with candles and mobile torch lights with slogans of Down with Israel-America and Long live Syed Hasan Nasrallah, other people from the surrounding areas joined. Traffic on Ajadari Road was completely stopped from around 6 pm to 9 pm. Only protesting people were present on the road. Shia clerics expressed grief over the martyrdom of Syed Hassan Nasrallah and raised slogans against Israel and America.

The Israeli flag on the Badi Imambara along with the picture of President Netanyahu was laid on the ground. In protest, people trampled the Israeli flag with their feet and walked over it. Along with this, a picture of Hassan Nasrallah was placed on the Chhota Imambara and the nearby Shahi Gate, on which Salam and Shaheed were written. Earlier, a peaceful candle march was to take place from Karbala Daynut Daula, which was postponed. On the martyrdom of Nasrallah, thousands of women and children of Shia community took out a procession carrying candles and mourning from the smallest to the biggest Imambara on Sunday.

Not Nasrallah, Netanyahu terrorist: Kalbe Jawad

In grief of the martyrdom of Syed Hasan Nasrullah, majlis were organized at various places in the city and Quran was recited. A Tajiyati gathering and Majlis was organized at Dargah Hazrat Abbas Rustamnagar. Maulana Kalbe Jawad inaugurated the Majlis. Maulana said that there is no greater status than martyr. Martyrdom is the weapon with which an oppressor cuts his own neck. One Nasrallah has been martyred, many Nasrallahs will be born. He said that Nasrallah is not a terrorist but Netanyahu is a terrorist. Thousands of men, women and children including all the Ulama were present on this occasion. The program was conducted by Adil Faraz. Maulana Suhail Rizvi presided over the Majlis at Masjid Rahate Sultan Noorbari.
