Another blow to AAP in Punjab! CM Bhagwant Mann’s brother joins BJP
A major upheaval was seen in the politics of Punjab on Monday, which has created panic in the camp of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s cousin Gyan Singh Mann has formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He took membership of the party in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar.
After Gyan Singh Mann joined BJP, political pressure on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has increased. In recent times, there has been intense talk of many AAP leaders and MPs joining BJP. In such a situation, the joining of a close relative of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to BJP has become a big topic of discussion in political circles.

Gyan Singh Mann said, ‘The people of Punjab were convinced by their (AAP) words and handed over power to them in 2022. They changed as soon as they came to power. From a common man he became a special man. Instead of fulfilling the promises made to the people, they started doing the opposite. Due to this I became very unhappy with his party and hence decided to leave the party. BJP is moving ahead with the slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, this thinking inspired me to join BJP. If anyone can do any work for Punjab then it is only BJP.

Many big faces have left AAP earlier also
Last month, the news of three AAP MPs Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal joining BJP had already created a stir in Punjab politics. Apart from this, Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Vikramjit Singh Sahni and Swati Maliwal also joined BJP later. Political experts believe that after the Lok Sabha elections, political equations are changing rapidly in Punjab and BJP is trying to strengthen its hold in the state.
