Patna. The process of collapse of flyovers is not stopping in Bihar. The latest case is from Gopalganj district. Here the flyover being built on the Ghoghari river collapsed. The incident occurred when the workers were casting the flyover. It was being built 29 meters long at a cost of approximately Rs 2 crore 89 lakh. The collapse of the flyover under construction has raised questions on governance and administration.

Let us tell you that a 29 meter long bridge is being built on the Ghoghari river in Gangwa village of Sidhwalia block of Gopalganj district of Bihar at a cost of Rs 2 crore 89 lakh. RCC was being cast on the flyover on Sunday. During this, suddenly a part of the flyover slab collapsed. Before the workers and contractors there could understand anything, the entire flyover collapsed. Work was going on there at the time of the accident. It is fortunate that no worker was injured in the accident. After the bridge collapsed, there was chaos in the entire village. Local people have also raised questions on the government including the construction agency and departmental officials. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the administrative officer and engineering team reached the spot. The team is investigating the reasons why the flyover collapsed. At present the construction work has been stopped. Officials said that further action will be taken after investigation. People angry with the incident say that if the quality was not checked in time. If the flyover had been built, a major accident could have occurred in the future.
