New Delhi: 258 citizens of Pakistan have been evacuated from their country by various countries within 24 hours. According to Pak media, 258 Pakistani citizens from seven countries were sent back to Pakistan in the last 24 hours. Maximum number of Pakistani citizens have returned from Saudi Arabia, apart from this, citizens from countries like UAE and China have also been sent back. Some of these people were involved in illegal activities, some had incomplete documents and some were accused of begging. The expulsion of Pakistani citizens from such countries has become a cause of embarrassment for Islamabad at the international level. According to Pakistan's Geo News report, out of 258 returned citizens, 16 were arrested at Karachi Airport. According to the report, 14 of them held Pakistani passports, while 244 had emergency travel documents.
232 Pakistanis sent back from Saudi Arabia
The maximum number of 232 people were sent back from Saudi Arabia, of which seven were beggars who were begging in Saudi Arabia. Two people were caught performing Hajj without permits and were sent back after completing their sentence. Four people had extended their Umrah visas, while 16 people overstayed their visas. 112 people were sent back due to complaints from their sponsors. Additionally, 63 people returned for other reasons.
21 people deported from UAE
21 people were deported from the UAE, including four involved in drug trafficking. One citizen each from China, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus and Nigeria was sent back. Among the nationals who returned from UAE and Nigeria, 16 people were on the FIA's immigration stop list, who were released after questioning. Pakistani officials say that to avoid such incidents, travelers should ensure that they have all the necessary documents, proper visa, advance booking and sufficient funds. He said that these incidents show how important it is to check all the documents before travelling, as many people attempt to travel without proper documents, due to which they have to face problems later.
