Another shock to Salman’s ‘Matribhumi’; Due to the death of Prashant Tamang, the release will be postponed
Salman KhanA big news has come out about the movie ‘Matribhumi’. The film, which was originally scheduled to release in early April, has now been postponed. Due to some changes in the script, the release of the film has been delayed. According to information received by India Today, one of the major reasons behind the delay is the sudden death of actor-singer Prashant Tamang.
A source related to the film said that ‘Indian Idol 3’ winner Prashant has been roped in to play the villain in ‘Matribhumi’. He had already shot many important scenes, but there were many more scenes to be shot. Prashant passed away in the month of January before the shooting was completed. The team had planned two schedules, in which Prashant would shoot some important scenes. His demise has thrown the entire team into turmoil.
According to a source, the makers initially thought of reshooting his scenes, but that doesn’t seem possible. Although close-up shots were possible, it was also part of a larger action sequence. Prashant’s absence is costing the producers dearly.

Additionally, Salman Khan’s dates and consistency in his looks are also causing problems. At one point, the team considered replacing Prashant with another actor or using AI and VFX to superimpose Prashant’s face in the remaining scenes, but this required his family’s permission. As the film is to be wrapped up soon and the post-production will begin, the makers will finalize things by the end of this month. The release date is yet to be decided, but going by the concept of the film, it might release on Independence Day.
