‘Anupama’ fame Rupali Ganguly’s emotional tribute, remembers Asha Bhosle

Television star Rupali Ganguly, known as the queen of Indian TV for her role in *Anupama*, has paid a heart-touching tribute to legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle. Asha Bhosle died on April 12, 2026 at the age of 92.

On Monday, Ganguly posted an emotional throwback video on Instagram, in which she is seen meeting the legendary singer. In this clip, the actress can be seen touching Asha Bhosle’s feet and interacting with her. He has accompanied this video with the evergreen song ‘Abhi Na Jao Bachte’.

In an emotional caption, Ganguly wrote: “Today I feel like a part of my childhood is lost. The moments spent with him will be remembered… cherished… he will be missed… his kind words were a blessing to me, which I will always cherish in my heart. Asha tai, your absence hurts so deeply… great people live forever. Asha Bhosle 💔”

Asha Bhosle, who was one of the most versatile and prolific voices of Indian cinema and sang more than 12,000 songs in multiple languages, breathed her last due to multiple organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital on April 11 due to fatigue and chest infection.

His son Anand Bhosle confirmed this news. The last darshan was arranged for the general public at his residence, ‘Casa Grande’ in Lower Parel, from around 11:00 am on 13 April. He was cremated with full state honors at Shivaji Park crematorium the same day at 4:00 pm.

During her eight decade long career, Asha Bhosle has been honored with several awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the year 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in the year 2008. He continues to receive tributes from the entertainment industry and fans around the world, who are honoring his unique contribution to Indian music.
