In the notice, Dehradun resident Jagdamba Prasad has made it clear that he or his family will not be responsible for any act, transaction or behavior done by Anurag or Ritika in future. This move has created a stir on social media, because on one hand the son is in a critical condition in the hospital and on the other hand the father has broken all relations with him.

Family’s displeasure over inter-caste marriage

Anurag had revealed in his last vlogs that the main reason for the rift between him and his family was his inter-caste marriage. Anurag had told that his parents were against his relationship with Ritika. After much persuasion, he agreed, but clearly said that he would not be a part of the wedding rituals. Anurag claimed that he had to make all the arrangements for his marriage himself and during this time he neither got the support of his parents nor his brother’s love.

Torture allegations against family

Before the accident, Anurag Doval had shared many emotional posts and videos on Instagram. In a post made on March 3, he had alleged that he was being mentally tortured. He had said that his family, money and all relationships have been taken away from him. Anurag had even claimed that attempts were being made to kill him and if anything happened to him, his parents, brother and other close members would be responsible.

Suicide attempt by coming live

The mental stress increased to such an extent that during an Instagram live stream, Anurag hinted at taking extreme suicidal steps. He drove his car at a speed of about 150 km/hr on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, which went out of control and crashed into the divider. After this horrific accident, he was immediately taken to the hospital, where his treatment is going on.
