Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma was recently seen at a private Mumbai airport, accompanied by her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, marking her first public appearance in India after months abroad.
Anushka, dressed in a black shirt paired with a grey trench coat and dark sunglasses, maintained a low profile as she followed Virat to their car. While Virat waved to photographers, Anushka opted for a quiet exit.
Details of the Visit
The reason for their trip to India is currently unknown. Their children, Vamika and Akaay, were reportedly not present, suggesting that it may be a short stay. Fans have eagerly awaited Anushka’s return, as she has largely stayed away from the public eye since moving abroad.
Last Public Sightings
Before this Mumbai appearance, Anushka was last seen in London in August, taking her children out for a stroll. Reports indicate that the family has shifted its base to London, though neither Anushka nor Virat has publicly confirmed this.
In July, the couple attended the Wimbledon finals, watching Novak Djokovic face Alex de Minaur in the Men’s Round of 16. Earlier in June, Anushka had accompanied Virat to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated their maiden IPL title in 18 years. Tragically, a stampede outside the stadium resulted in 11 deaths.
Anushka had addressed the tragedy on Instagram, posting the team’s official statement along with heartbroken emojis. The RCB statement read:
“We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us.”
