Apologizing, PM Modi addressed the rally in Bengal on phone, told people that he is very sad – ..

News India Live, Digital Desk: It is common for the Prime Minister or any big leader to be present at democratic rallies, but what if suddenly the Prime Minister has to speak his mind over the phone instead of addressing the people directly? Recently a news has come from West Bengal which has shocked everyone. Instead of addressing a big public meeting in person, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his message through phone and also apologized to the people of Bengal for this.

Why did PM Modi address the rally over phone?

According to the information received, PM Modi could not personally reach this public meeting in Bengal due to some reason (possibly due to bad weather or some unexpected obstacle). This is not the first time that leaders’ programs are canceled due to bad weather, but it is unusual for the Prime Minister to address a rally over phone. Due to his absence, he apologized to the people for his inability and expressed his feelings. This shows that he wanted to connect directly with the people despite his absence.

The Prime Minister explained his views to the public through phone and explained why he could not be present there. They might have discussed local issues, central government schemes (sarkar ki yojanaen), and their plans for the state in the times to come. By apologizing he has tried to show his respect for the people of Bengal and their feelings.

This incident also proves how digital mediums have become a part of political platforms today, and leaders can reach out to the public even from a distance. But, the lack of a face-to-face connection is definitely missed. It was interesting to see how in this difficult time the Prime Minister maintained his communication with the public, even through phone.
