Apple iPhone 17 Air Could Have Less Features But A Higher Price Tag: Know More

Apple is planning for more expensive iPhone models which could be launched next year. The rumoured iPhone 17 Air is tipped to feature a slim design, which has become an unknown entity in the company’s phone lineup these days. But the iPhone 17 Air is going to cost you a lot more for a lot less in terms of the features.

Confused? New reports claim the slim or Air iPhone model will feature only a single camera at the back and front, and its biggest highlight is likely to be the aluminium slim design. The other big updates suggest Apple could end the iPhone Plus moniker and replace it with the Slim, which is rumoured to sport a 6.6-inch display bringing it closer to the Pro Max lineup in terms of the size.

iPhone 17 Air: What The New Rumours Say

Some of the renowned analysts have shared their insights on the upcoming iPhone model for 2025 which could have more power than the iPhone 16 Plus but less in terms of the imaging tech compared to the iPhone Pros. The note from analyst Jeff Pu says, the iPhone 17 Slim/Air model will get a 6.6-inch display, powered by the A19 chipset which will be close to the levels of the latest A18 Pro version and carry an aluminium frame.

However, some bad news for the Apple fanboys, as the note mentions the iPhone 17 Air model could have a single 48MP camera at the back which takes us back to the days of the iPhone 8 series.

It will be packing 8GB RAM to run the Apple Intelligence features but early signs hint at a big change from Apple for next year, paving the way for the Slim and bringing the curtains down on the Plus lineup. We’re still quite far away from the iPhone 17 series launch, so it is possible Apple could have a rethink and make some more changes but for now, the price of the Slim model is going to be crucial for it to succeed.
