Apple released the list of its new vintage products

Apple recently updated its official list of vintage and obsolete products. Many popular devices like iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch Series 5 have been included in this list. This indicates that official company support for these devices is slowly ending, although many people still use them on a daily basis.

Meaning of Vintage and Obsolete

According to Apple’s support documentation, a product is considered vintage when it has been out of sale for five years or more. Such equipment can be repaired, but services for the same depend on availability. At the same time, obsolete products are those which are considered old and obsolete after seven years of ceasing to be sold. In this case, Apple or its authorized service centers no longer provide repairs or parts. In simple terms, the vintage tag indicates that official support is slowly ending.

iPhone 11 Pro included in vintage list

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 11 Pro’s inclusion on this list holds special significance, as it is still active with the latest iOS updates and is fully capable of daily use. This is currently the oldest iPhone model that supports iOS 26. Although it is still subject to restoration, inclusion in the Vintage List means that official services will now be available for a limited period of time.
