Mumbai. After setting a sales record during the September quarter, Apple is going to open four new self-branded retail stores in India. Apple's sales of $94.9 billion in July-September set a new record for the September quarter with sales 6% higher than the same period last year.
Looking at sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, the company's CEO Cook said, “The enthusiasm we are seeing in India, where we have broken revenue records, excites us. “This has been an extraordinary year in terms of sales at Apple.”
“We have also seen strong performance in many emerging markets, including double-digit growth in Mexico, Brazil, the Middle East, India and South Asia, as well as growth in developed markets,” he said. Apple has two retail stores in India in New Delhi and Mumbai.
Cook said, “We are looking forward to opening four additional stores for Indian consumers. “We have a deep commitment to education and we believe technology can help students learn about the world around them and teachers inspire their students.”
