Holi colors can be fun, but chemical-based gels and wet colors can dry, dull and damage hair and skin. Hence, applying oil before playing with colors acts as an essential protective layer. Using the right oil helps in removing color easily and reduces damage to skin and hair.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is considered the safest and most effective option. It deeply moisturizes the hair and creates a protective layer on the scalp, preventing the colors from sticking to the hair. Heat it slightly and apply it on your hair well 30-40 minutes before playing Holi.

Almond Oil: To protect yourself from Holi discoloration, apply vitamin E rich almond oil. This oil keeps the skin soft and prevents dryness and itching. Massage this oil lightly on the face, hands and neck.

Mustard Oil: Mustard oil is the most affordable option. It creates a thick layer on the skin and helps remove the pigment quickly. If your skin is not sensitive, you can apply a small amount on the body.
