Why do prices differ in different states

CNG prices are not the same across the country as VAT and local tax structures differ from state to state. For this reason, difference is also seen in the prices of nearby cities like Delhi and Ghaziabad. Apart from taxes, transportation costs and distribution networks also affect prices.

Sometimes the balance of supply and demand in cities also causes slight changes in the rates. Therefore, at the same time, the prices of CNG remain different in different states, which has a direct impact on the expenditure of consumers.

Impact on consumers and drivers

Stable prices of CNG makes budget management easier for motorists and daily commuters. People involved in auto, taxi and cab services are able to have a better estimate of their earnings and fares due to stability in fuel costs.

Apart from this, CNG is considered more economical and environment friendly than petrol and diesel. This not only reduces fuel consumption, but also has less impact on the engine of the vehicles, which provides relief in maintenance costs.
