AR Rahman broke his silence on ‘Chhava’ statement, said- understand the intentions properly

Recently, during an interview, veteran musician of Bollywood and South Film Industry, AR Rahman gave such statements regarding the film ‘Chhaava’, which gave rise to controversy. The Oscar-winning musician, who has been active in the industry for 30 years, shared his experiences and discussed the power shift in Bollywood and the challenges of getting work. AR Rahman gave clarification

After this controversy, AR Rahman himself clarified his statement. He said that for him music has always been a medium of connection, joy and respect for culture. Rehman clarified that his intention was not to hurt anyone’s sentiments. He said, India is my inspiration, my guru and my home. Sometimes there may be misunderstandings, but my aim has always been to spread positivity through music. Rahman shared his experience

While sharing his career experiences, Rahman said that performing in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, working with young musicians, projects like Sunshine Orchestra and India’s first multicultural virtual band Secret Mountain have been inspiration for him. Besides, the experience of giving music for Ramayana with Hans Zimmer has also been an important part of his career. Expressing his gratitude towards his country, he said that his aim is to honor the history, celebrate the present and inspire the future.

Amidst this controversy, AR Rahman made it clear that his intention was never to hurt anyone or create division. He hoped that his fans and critics would understand his point of view and value the universal power of music.
