Are you troubled by constipation and gas? If you eat these 4 fruits in winter, your stomach will remain as clean as butter. – ..
News India Live, Digital Desk: When winter season comes, it brings with it carrot halwa, hot parathas and sips of tea. All this sounds good to the tongue, but our poor stomach has to bear the brunt of it. In winter we drink less water and eat more fried food, resulting in problems like constipation, gas and bloating throughout the day.
We often run after powders or pills, but nature has given us some wonderful fruits for winter which are more effective than any ‘digestive powder’. If you want to keep your intestines healthy, then include these 4 fruits in your diet.
1. Guava: ‘Doctor’ of winter
You can call it the ‘king’ of winter. Nowadays, good ripe guavas are available in abundance in the market. Guava is rich in dietary fibre. If you have difficulty in emptying your stomach in the morning, then eat a guava with black salt. It not only breaks constipation but also cleans the intestines properly. This is the cheapest and most effective solution.
2. Papaya: A sure friend of the stomach
Papaya is a fruit that takes care of the stomach in every season, but its need increases in winter. It contains a natural element called ‘Papain’ which helps us digest heavy food (like protein or paratha). If your stomach feels heavy after lunch, eat a few pieces of papaya. Gas and indigestion will not even come close.
3. Apple: There is magic with the peel
There is a saying in English ‘An apple a day’, and this is 100% true for winters too. Apple contains a fiber called ‘pectin’. It increases the good bacteria in our intestines. Just don’t make the mistake of eating it by peeling it off. Eating apple with peel keeps the stomach system completely settled and digestion does not slow down.
4. Orange: Combination of fiber and water
Eating orange while basking in the sun in winter has its own pleasure. But it doesn’t just taste good. In winter we drink less water due to which the stool becomes hard. Orange fulfills the water deficiency in the body and the fiber present in it keeps the stomach soft. It also helps in removing toxins from the body.
A little advice:
The best time to eat these fruits is in the morning for breakfast or as a snack in the afternoon. Avoid eating cold fruits at night or in the evening. Trust natural ingredients, your stomach will thank you!
