Are your knees giving out in winter? Skip painkillers and use this thing in your kitchen

News India Live, Digital Desk: While tea and quilts are enjoyed as soon as the cold of December starts, this season is no less than a punishment for the elders of our house. As soon as the temperature drops, the pain in knees, waist and shoulders starts showing its colors.

Many times we see our parents tolerating the pain or silently taking painkillers. But we all know that medicines give relief only for a few hours, the real cure lies in the roots – and those roots are in our Ayurveda and kitchen.

Why does pain increase in cold?

Plain and simple – due to cold our veins shrink and blood circulation slows down. Ayurveda says that in this season ‘Vata’ (wind) increases in the body, which is the main cause of pain.

So let us know the easy ways by which you can overcome this pain.

1. Oil Massage: Old but most effective

Don’t take it for granted. Add 3-4 garlic cloves and some celery in mustard oil or sesame oil and heat it. When it remains lukewarm, massage the joints with it. This oil penetrates inside the bones and provides warmth and removes stiffness.

2. Fenugreek seeds: The best friend of couples

If you want the pain to be eliminated from its roots, then start drinking fenugreek seed water. Soak one spoon of fenugreek in water overnight and drink that water in the morning on an empty stomach and chew the seeds. It is a panacea for balancing the ‘Vata’ dosha of the body.

3. ‘Heat up’ your diet a little
