Arijit Singh Hints Retirement Plan Isn’t Final, Says Unfinished Tracks Will Continue To Be Released

Mumbai: Weeks after announcing his retirement from playback singing, Arijit Singh clarified that his unfinished tracks will continue to be released, hinting that his decision to retire may not be final.

Addressing the confusion surrounding his retirement announcement, Arijit shared a detailed note with his followers on his X account.

“This message is just for my listeners, please don’t read and swipe right now if you are not my listener, it’s a humble request,” he wrote.

Expressing gratitude to his audience, Arijit continued, “Hello beautiful people! I just want to tell you all that I love you. Thank you so much for your kindness in this ruthless world.”

The singer explained that although he is no longer accepting fresh projects, a significant number of pending songs are yet to be completed and released.

“The list of pending songs are not less you know. I will have to complete a lot of songs… there are so many unfinished songs, they are gonna keep releasing until done. Maybe through this whole year, maybe it will touch next year too,” he shared.

Urging his supporters to avoid unnecessary debates about his decision, the singer stated, “Don’t involve into explaining people. How many times will you?” while asking fans not to engage in arguments on his behalf.

The singer signed off with “Jay Devi!” and “Also, who knows what lies ahead!” — a line which triggered discussion about his retirement plan.

On January 27, Arijit posted on social media: “I want to thank you for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on.”
